Currently, we are in search of an exceptional and driven Billing Specialist to join our dynamic team. Job Responsibilities
- Create invoices.
- Understanding contract terms and timing for invoice generation.
- Creating invoices under both fixed fee or time and material contracts.
- Assisting in the collections process as the first line of resolution.
- Field questions from customers related to invoicing.
- Establishing a strong relationship with operations and customers.
- Updating customer files with contact information.
- Transition customers from checks to ACH for payment of invoices
- Assist in special projects as assigned.
- Responsible for customer invoicing and credit memo creation.
- Handle all collections.
- Maintain customer contact records.
- Set up and maintain customer portals.
- Assist with month end tasks.
- Count petty cash.
- Handle company owned equipment charges.
- Handle sales tax log.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure that invoicing is supported by either a contractual arrangement, a purchase order, or both.
- Research and follow up on billing questions from both clients and sales reps.
- Assist with data entry special projects and other administrative duties, as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Must possess good problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
- Strong and professional communication, including writing, speaking and active listening.
- Great customer service skills, including interpersonal conversation.
- In-depth knowledge of industry best practices.
- Basic math, bookkeeping and accounting skills.
- Organization, time management and prioritization abilities.
- Effective computer skills to input to use bookkeeping and account management software in a timely and efficient manner.
Education and Experience
- 2-5 Years in billing experience or recent college graduate.
- Proficient in Basic Microsoft Suite included Word and intermediate Excel skills.
